Provides telephone assistance to patients, caregivers, referral sources, and internal staff in regards to new orders, questions, and troubleshooting of therapies and equipment. Consults with various people over the phone regarding patient treatment, medical condition, and home support for patients receiving home infusion and enteral therapy. Reinforces training and teaching with patients and/or caregivers in procedures and equipment. Informs patients/caregivers of financial responsibilities. Staffs unscheduled and unexpected visits the night before or morning visits (need to be seen by noon) before business day open. Leaves report as appropriate for RN case managers regarding specifics to their patients and coordinator or manager as necessary. Acts as backup to conduct home visits that are unable to be staffed due to illness, staff shortage, timing issues, or other conflicts that may arise. Assumes on-call and holiday responsibilities as assigned. Participates in inservices, meetings, and case conferences as required and requested.

At least one year related experience is required. Current and valid state registered nurse license. CPR certified. PICC and midline certification is preferred as well as INS, ONS, NAVAN certification and membership. Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
